I am inspired by my passion for teaching and my intrinsic commitment to supporting students of African ancestry in the classroom and in navigating their personal and educational goals.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Making a positive difference in the lives of my students: Building safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces in schools. I enjoy the deep connections and relationships with my students.

What would you most like families to know about the role of Student Support Workers in HRCE schools?

African Nova Scotian Student Support Workers provide academic support and educational opportunities for African Nova Scotian/Black students. We also provide cultural programming and act as positive role models in schools. In addition, Student Support Workers work in partnership with families, schools, and communities to create an inclusive, safe, and successful learning environment for students of African ancestry.
