Black Excellence
In recognition and celebration of Black Excellence week, we would love to invite everyone to participate in a series of spirit days to help highlight and celebrate Black culture, history, and contributions. Details of the spirit days are outlined below, and we encourage staff and students to take part where possible.
Wednesday: Trailblazers and Innovators – wear jersey or team apparel day
Thursday: Leadership and Advocacy – wear a t-shirt with a positive message or slogan
Friday: Black Excellence Day – wear all black to show solidarity, pride and brilliance
Teacher Appreciation Week
As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, we are celebrating the incredible work of our staff and the positive impact they have on students each day.
If your child would like to recognize a special teacher or staff member, we invite them to share their thoughts on one of the attached templates. Once finished, students can drop it off at the office, and we will make sure it gets to the staff member.
It’s a simple but meaningful way to share gratitude and brighten someone’s day!
Looking Ahead to September
As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, we wanted to share an important update for families, particularly those with students entering Primary.
In September, we will once again host an Open House prior to the first day of school, giving students and families an opportunity to visit the school, meet staff, and become familiar with the learning environment.
As a result, there will be no Primary Orientation held this spring. We have found that the September Open House provides a more meaningful and supportive transition for students as they begin their school year.
We look forward to welcoming our newest learners and their families at that time!
