Increasing Student Lateness
We have noticed a significant rise in the number of students arriving late this week: 120 students on Monday, 133 students on Tuesday, 147 students on Wednesday, and 96 students on today. This level of lateness directly impacts our ability to begin instruction promptly at 8:15 a.m., as teachers must pause to help students settle in.
To support a smooth start to the school day, we ask families to plan morning routines so that students arrive by 8:10 a.m. This ensures they have time to unpack, get organized, and be ready for learning when instruction begins at 8:15 a.m.
Thank you for your help in keeping our mornings running smoothly and supporting your child’s success.
Dressing for the Weather
Please ensure you give yourselves a little extra time in the mornings to account for road and weather conditions. The weather is now cold and all students need to be prepared for the outdoors as we go outside daily. Your support in helping students start their day on time is greatly appreciated.
Concert and Donations
Thank you to all of our families for your support with our holiday concerts and for your generous donations. Your contributions will go a long way in helping us support families within our school community this winter, and we are truly grateful.
Spirit Week
Next week is our last full week of school before the holiday break, and we’re excited to bring some fun and festive spirit to our days with a week of themed Spirit Days:
Monday: Wacky Hair Day / Festive Hair
Tuesday: Gingerbread Day (dress in brown or wear anything gingerbread-themed)
Wednesday: Candy Cane Day (dress in red and white)
Thursday: Ugly Sweater or Festive Shirt Day
Friday: PJ / Grinch Day
Midday Pickups (11:15–12:15)
If you need to pick up your child between 11:15 and 12:15, please notify both the classroom teacher and the office in advance. This is a busy time due to the lunch break, and it can be challenging to locate students quickly. A heads-up ensures we have your child ready on time and minimizes disruptions.
