What's Happening @PW - September 12
Reconfiguration
In true Park West fashion, we have had many changes in our enrollment since the start of the year. While we have welcomed a number of new students, we have also had some leave. As a result, several of our Primary to Grade 2 classes are no longer within the provincial class size guidelines.
To ensure that we are meeting these requirements and continuing to provide the best learning environment for all students, we will be reconfiguring some classes. This includes:
- Changing one Grade 1 class to a Primary/Grade 1 combined class
- Changing one Grade 2 class to a Grade 1/2 combined class
We have worked closely with staff to make these adjustments thoughtfully and carefully. The new configuration will take effect on Monday, September 15th.
If your child’s placement will be affected by these changes, you will receive an additional email with specific details.
We recognize that transitions can be challenging, and we truly appreciate your support and understanding as we make these adjustments in the best interest of our students.
P-6 Lunch Form
We are resending the P–6 Lunch Form and apologize for any confusion around our earlier messaging.
We ask that any student in Grades P–6 who will be going home for lunch have this form completed and returned to the office.
The Homework Hub
The Homework Hub will open for mathematics tutoring as of Sunday, September 14th for grade 7-12 and Monday, September 15th for grades 4-6. Tutoring is available during the following times:
o Grades 4-6: Monday-Wednesday 5:30-7:30 pm
o Grades 7-12: Sunday-Thursday 5:30-9:30 pm
The EECD has produced web versions of promotional cards that can be shared on school websites, newsletters, and other communications with parents:

The Homework Hub also provides access to electronic textbooks, instructional videos, vocabulary review, and practice questions.
